Bzowy, Michael (28 SEP 1892 – 25 JUN 1969)
Michael Bzowy, 76, of 331 Lincoln St., Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.), died
suddenly at his residence Wednesday, June 25, 1969.
He was born in Poland September 28, 1892. He came to the United States in 1914,
moving to Wisconsin and settling in the Junction area (Clark Co., Wis.). His
wife died in 1961. He moved to the city of Stanley in 1962. In 1962 he married
Harriet Vajda, and they have lived in Stanley since that time.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet; five sons, Walter, Edward, Tony of Chicago;
Henry, Santa Maria, Calif.; (one is missing from the list); six daughters, Mrs.
Peter Madeja, Mrs. John Block, Mrs. Thomas McGhee and Mrs. Frank Biesk, all of
Chicago; Mrs. Edwin Maki, Norridge, Ill.; Mrs. Verne Voelpel, San Gabriel,
Calif.; 29 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Polish Catholic Church in
Lublin, with Father Matthew Buba officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
