Ritter, Alice M. (16 SEP 1901 – 10 JUL 1969)
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for
Mrs. Paul (Alice) Ritter, 67, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Thursday at her
home of a lingering illness.
The Rev. H.W. Luetkehoelter, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church, officiated, and
burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
The former Alice Mae Adams was born September 16, 1901 in Iowa, and was married
there to Paul Ritter, who survives her. The couple came to the Arpin area after
their marriage and lived there until 1923, when they moved to the Owen area and
have lived there since.
Survivors include her husband, six sons, Paul Jr., Victor and Glen, all of
Withee; Gordon, Chili; Merlin and Arlyn, both of Granton; five daughters, Mrs.
Troy Austin and Mrs. Art Whitmore, both of Owen; Mrs. George Bender and Mrs.
Bernard McCray, both of Withee; and Mrs. Bill Darges, Greenwood; 21
grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Adams, Charles City,
Iowa; and Clarence Adams of Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Dale Willard, Florida.
She was preceded in death by a son.
