Figura, John (7 SEP 1888 – 03 JUL 1969)

Funeral services for John Figura, 80, of Bruce, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Ghost Greek Catholic Church in Lublin. Burial was in the church cemetery (Clark Co. Town of Withee – County Line or Holy Trinity Ukranian)..

Mr. Figura, who died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, was born Sept. 7, 1888 in the Ukraine. He lived near Hawkins until moving to Bruce about 20 years ago. His wife, the former Mary Buchamb, died in 1963.

He is survived by three sons, Mike and Bill, both of Bruce, and Joe, Downers Grove, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Docnam, Grayling, Mich., Mrs. Anita Bogdan, Hinsdale, Ill., and Mrs. Katherine Sargent, St. Paul; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Kostick, Thorp, and Mrs. Cecilia Horton, Mrs. Katherine Troz, and Mrs. Mary Star, all of Lublin; and 18 grandchildren.
