Isler, Gottlieb (1885 – 4 JUL 1969)

Gottlieb Isler passed away at the Havenet Nursing Home, Owen, Wis., July 4, 1969, at the age of 84. Services were held at Owen, Wis., July 8th, and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.

He is survived by one brother, Otto, Withee, Wis.; two sons, Fred, Withee, Wis., and Alfred, Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Sam Davenport, Middleton, Wisconsin, and (Ottilie) Mrs. Elmer Buss, Withee, Wis.; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Anna and Amelia died in infancy. Seven sisters and five brothers also preceded him in death. He came to this country from Switzerland at age 14 and farmed in the Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) area for many years.

Pallbearers were Fred Widmer, Gene Stigen, Larry Stigen, Jerry Buss, Dennis Buss, and Kenneth Davenport.
