Truckey, Louis A. (22 JAN 1907 – 12 JUL 1969)

Louis Alvin Truckey, 62, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, on Saturday, July 12, 1969. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp on Tuesday, July 15, 1969. Rev. C. Chilicki officiated at the ten a.m. service, assisted by Rev. Edward Masalewicz and Rev. Francis Brockman. Burial was made in the New St. Hedwig's Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ernest Doege, John Budzinski, Frank Schmidt, Fred Hedler, Jerome Hedler, and Anton Maslowski.

Louis was born January 22, 1907 at Manitowoc, Wis. He moved to the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area as a young boy with his parents and lived here until his death. On October 5, 1940 he was united in marriage to Anna Twarowski at St. Hedwig's Church, Thorp.

Surviving are his wife Anna; three sons, Roger and Arnold at home, and Joe at Thorp; one sister, (Lucy) Mrs. Phillip Beyer, Ottawa, Ill.; also three grandchildren, four nephews and several cousins.

Relatives attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Beyer, Ottawa, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Gorsegner and family of Red Bank, New Jersey; Marlene Parker, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. s.J. Page, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Purnick of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Glowacki Jr. and family of Germantown, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Glowacki and son of DeForest, Wis., and friends from Stanley, Cadott, Spencer, Greenwood, Withee, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Owen and many friends from Thorp.
