Bogumill, Jeanette (9 NOV 1895 – 6 AUG 1969)

A funeral High Mass for Mrs. John S. Bogumill, 73, who passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 6, 1969, was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with Rev. Francis Brockman officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Dennis Bogumill of Franklin Park, Ill., Peter Bogumill of Eau Claire, Wis., Mark Brandsness of Paramus, New Jersey, and Tom Bogumill, Scott Tureen and Gary Turenne of Thorp.

Jeanette Bogumill, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Huls, was born on November 9, 1895 in Wrightstown, Wisconsin. She moved To Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) with her parents in 1901. She attended the Thorp public schools.

Jeanette was married to John S. Bogumill April 13, 1915. They were the first couple to be married in St. Bernard's Catholic Church. John preceded her in death in 1959.

She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society and Catholic Women's Foresters.

Survivors include two sons, Clayborne Bogumill of Thorp and James Bogumill of West Allis, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Ann) Brandsness of New Jersey and Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Turenne of Thorp; 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Huls, Sheboygan, Wis., Arnold Huls, Chippewa Falls, and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Kate) Van Loo, Thorp.

A daughter, Rosella, and a brother, Henry Huls, preceded her in death.
