Moore, Carolyn Sue (23 AUG 1969)

Bouquets of white gladiolas and blue split carnations with Eucharist candles were on the altar of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dallas, Texas for the four P.M. nuptial ceremony uniting Miss Carolyn Sue Moore and Neal E. Schmidt, on Saturday, August 23, 1969.

Mr. Moore gave his daughter in marriage during the rites performed by Rev. Thomas A. Sorenson. Arnold Schular was the organist.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Moore, Arlington, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Schmidt of Thorp.

The bride wore a white Alencon lace and satin dress over pure silk. The pressed pleats in the semi-full skirt fell from a fitted bodice with elbow length sleeves. A satin tie trimmed in lace motifs was featured at the back waistline. Her veil was of pure silk illusion caught to a French coronet of seed pearls. She carried a cascade of white roses, carnations and stephanotis with a center orchid.

Mrs. Rex C. Schmidt, sister-in-law of the groom, was matron of honor, and was attired in a floor length soft blue Alencon lace empire style dress underlined with blue silk and covered with a flowing layer of blue chiffon. Her flowers were soft blue split carnations with blue lace backing. On her head she wore a short soft blue illusion veil gathered in a bow of the same material.

Rex C. Schmidt, Minneapolis, was best man for his brother, and usher was Kirk Craig of Dallas, Texas.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at 3410 Hidlago, Dallas, Texas, where they will live in Apartment 206. The bride's cake was served by Mrs. Sybil Wilson, champagne served by Mrs. Dyann Hall, and groom's cake and coffee served by Miss Mary Womack.

The groom is a 1963 graduate of Thorp High School and Wis. State University at Eau Claire in 1967. At Wis. State University he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He is with Thuron Industries as a manager of manufacturing and purchasing control. The bride is a graduate of East Texas State University and was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority there, and also was a beauty queen. She is employed at Parasonlio (?) as an accounting supervisor.

They will be at home the 2nd week in September, after a wedding trip to the southern states.
