Smith, Andrew Jr. (7 MAY 1932 – 10 FEB 2017)

Andrew Smith Jr, 84 of Owen died on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center.

He was born on May 7, 1932 in Owen, WI, to Andrew and Hilda (Lang) Smith Sr. He married Arlene Mildbrand on July 19, 1952 and they celebrated 60 years together. Andrew owned and operated a filling station for many years. He was also an employee of Will Gas for several years.

Andrew served in the Army, was a member of the American Legion of Owen and a member of the Mason's. He enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, craft building, and camping. Together Andrew and Arlene had visited every state west of the Mississippi.

Andrew is survived by his four sons: Greg (Sheri), Gary (Sally), Ken (Lynn), Michael (Barb), grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, Melvin (Betty) and close friend Joan Amacher.

Andrew was under the care of St. Croix hospice at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center. He is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, an infant sister, Nancy, and his parents.

A funeral service is being planned for March 4th at 11:00, visitation starting 9:30, at the Nazareth Lutheran church in Withee, Wisconsin.
