Morris, Glen E. (29 MAY 1936 - 10 FEB 2017)

Glen E Morris, 80, formerly of Hannibal, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at Oakbrook Nursing Home-Thorp.

He was born on May 29, 1936 in Hannibal to the late Evert and Estel (McDaniel) Morris. Glen grew up in the area and attended Hannibal grade school. He worked a number of careers: Farming, was a milk hauler, logger, ran the Donald store for a time and then settled in at the Sash and Door Company in Hawkins. He worked there for many years retiring from Jeld Wen Windows.

On June 24, 1967 he was united in marriage to Joan Webster.

Glen enjoyed animals, children, deer hunting in his younger years, making wood, was very mechanical and was always willing to help others. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Morris of Gilman, sons, Bruce Morris of Rockford, IL, Brent (Julie) Morris of Antigo and Brian (Katrina) Morris of Owen, six grandchildren, Zachary, Benjamin, Jessica, Ella, Emma and Tristen and two sisters, Dora Mae Hendricks of Gilman and
Wanda Dillon of West Virginia.

Glen is preceded in death by his wife Joan (2010), his parents, grandson, Jason Morris, brothers, Robert and Evert Jr and sisters, Betty Webster, Effie Webster, Marie Bergant, Mary Kloss and Hazel Jean in infancy.

Funeral services will be at 11AM on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Northland Baptist Church-Hannibal. Burial will follow in the Hannibal cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday at the Gilman Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the Church.
