The Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) Volunteer Fire Department was called to the Ed Budolfson farm, fire number 4661, 1 1/2 miles south of the Mattes Sales Barn, at 3:30 p.m., Monday, September 1st, 1969, where fire completely destroyed the barn and machine shed.

Also last in the blaze were 7 head of young stock, manure spreader, baler, mower, elevator, tractor, and a couple of wagons.
