Burzynski, Hattie A. (15 OCT 1892 – 10 AUG 1969)
Hattie Antonette Burzynski, 76, former resident of Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.),
passed away at Chicago, Ill., Saturday, August 10, 1969. She was born in Poland
October 15, 1892. She came to the United States as a young girl and settled in
Chicago. On September 23, 1914 shew as united in marriage to Walter Burzynski at
Lublin (Taylor Co.), Wis. They farmed in the Town of Taft until 1954, and then
moved to Colburn. Since 1967 she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Stelvang,
in Stanley. Her husband passed away March 25, 1968.
Survivors are eight sons and four daughters. They are Leo of New London, Wis.,
Walter and Michael of Chicago, Edward of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, Louis of
Kensington, Maryland, Marion and Stanley of Thorp, and Frank R. of Stanley, Mrs.
(Marie) Pawlak of Thorp, Mrs. Alfred (Harriet) Stelvang of Stanley, Mrs. Alvin
(Estella) Kroepfl of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Richard (Antonette) Van Overmerin of
Chicago; one brother, William Kwatinski of Centerville, Penn.,; 51 grandchildren
and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Polish
National Catholic Church at Lublin, Wis. Father Matthew Buba officiating. Burial
was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Lublin.
