Wagner, Walter H. (30 August 1906 – 22 July 1974)
Funeral services for Walter H. Wagner, 67, of Rt. 2 Neillsville, who died July
22, were held Thursday, July 25, from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
with the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiating. Interment was in the Neillsville
City Cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home made arrangements.
Pallbearers were Ed Zank, August Meier, William J. Schultz, Clarence Schlinkert,
Lee Kapfer and Alvin Durham. “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “Abide with
Me,” were sung by Mrs. Harold Mayer. Victor Lehmann was the organist.
Among those who attended the services were the following from out of town: Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Wagner, Jr., Santa Ana, Ca; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wagner and
family, Menomonie; Mrs. Neta Opperman, Miss Theresa Apazeller and Mrs. Marie
Apazeller, Milwaukee; Mrs. Lawrence Andrews, New Brighton, Mn.; Mr. and Mrs.
Patrick Gilinski, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Larson and family Chili; Mrs. Emma
Steimke, Tomah; and Mrs. Vilas Smith, Merrillan.
