Woytowicz, Margaret M. (7 NOV 1921 – 19 FEB 2017)
Margaret M. Woytowicz, age 95, of Cornell, WI, formerly of Gilman, WI, passed
away on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls,
WI. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 at
St. Mary’s PNCC Church in Lublin, WI. Fr. Marion Talaga will officiated and
burial will follow at St. Mary’s PNCC Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the
church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Margaret Marie Bagnowski was born on November 7, 1921 in Necedah, WI, to Joseph
and Lottie (Kulik) Bagnowski. She was raised and educated in the Necedah area.
Marge was united in marriage to John Damski on October 3, 1942, in Necedah.
After her marriage, they moved to the Town of Roosevelt, Taylor Co., rural
Lublin, Wisconsin, where they farmed until John’s death in December 1965. She
later married Walter Woytowicz, and together they ran the Miller Dam tavern for
six years, until their retirement. They then moved to Gilman. After Walter’s
death in 2011, she continued to reside in Gilman until entering the Cornell Care
Center, where she lived until her death.
Marge had many interests, but especially loved gardening, fishing, sewing and
hunting. She was a member of St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in
Lublin, and its Ladies Society.
She is survived by one daughter, Sarah (Larry) Olejniczak of Holcombe,
Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Lauren Olejniczak (Sheri Kellner) of New Holstein,
WI, Angela (Scott) Kortan of Williston, ND; three great-grandchildren, Jadyn,
Ashley and Rochelle; and two great-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Kelen.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John and Walter; one
grandson, John J. Olejniczak; two sisters, Pearl Feliszak and Frances Hresil;
four brothers, Frank, John, tony and Louis Bagnowski.
