Schultz, Anthony F. "Tony" (11 JAN 1913 – 27 OCT 1919)
Anthony F. Schultz, 56, resident of rural Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away
at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin, on October 27, 1969, after a
short illness.
He was born January 11, 1913 in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Anna and
Frank Schultz. Tony moved to the Thorp area when he was six. He attended Yaeger
School. He went to Minnesota to work. H was united in marriage to Linda
Mullenbach at St. Augustine's Catholic Church at Austin, Minnesota on August 5,
1940.
Then they resided in Melbourne, Florida, where they were employed for several
years. Tony was drafted from there and served three years in the army, two of
which were spent overseas.
He returned to the states and operated a restaurant in Rockford, Ill. for eight
years. Then he and his family moved to a farm in rural Thorp, where he resided
prior to his death.
Tony is survived by his wife, Linda; two daughters, Linda and Toni of Thorp;
three brothers, Theodore of Rockford, Ill., John of Stanley, and Edward of
Thorp; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Farmena) Kosla, Thorp, and Mrs. Ted (Eleanor)
Kolpa) of Downers Grove, Ill. He was preceded in death by his mother and father
and one brother, Walter.
He was a member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, the American Legion and the
Sportsmen's Club.
The funeral services were conducted October 30 by Father Constance Chilicki, and
interment was in the parish cemetery. Military services were conducted by Thorp
American Legion. Pallbearers were Harland Schultz, M.M. Malinowski, Clarence
Turenne, Walter Hendrel, Mike, Lew, and Joseph Skibinaki.
