The Rev. Michael Mertens was officially installed as pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), at a 9 a.m. service Sunday evening. The Rev. Norbert King, dean of the Clark-Jackson Deanery, officiated at the service. Following the service a reception was held with members and many other area friends joining in a social hour. A 7:30 p.m. elk feed preceded the installation in the church hall.

Father Mertens, a native of Thorp, succeeds Father William Nikolai, who was transferred to Wausau.
