Niewolny, Mary F. (Schrauth) (21 DEC 1923 - 19 FEB 2017)
Mary F. Niewolny, 93, Edgar, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 under the care of
Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Our House, Wausau.
She was born December 21, 1923 in Medford, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen
Schrauth. She attended school in the town of Little Black. On June 18, 1947 she
married Myron Niewolny at Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford. He
preceded her in death on April 4, 1997.
Together, Myron and Mary owned and operated Mike and Mary's Tavern for many
years. Mary loved her family and life itself. She also enjoyed taking trips,
walks, flowers, gambling, bowling and playing cards. She climbed the ladder.
Survivors include her children, Jim, Bob, Michael and Karen (Dennis) Dallman;
grandchildren, Laurie, Kim, Stacey, Stephanie, Josh and Travis;
great-grandchildren, Claire, Brooke, Lucy, Alexander, Aryanna and Mason; one
step great-grandchild, Sara; sisters, Margaret, Lucille, Josephine and Kathryn;
sisters-in-law, Ruth Schrauth and Willy Niewolny.
Besides her parents and husband, Mike, she was preceded in death by a son,
Bruce, brothers, Alvin, Aloysious, Bernard, Joey Jr. and Daniel and sisters,
Marcella, Leona, Sister Helen Schrauth.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at
St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Burial will be
in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the
time of services all at the church.
