Paul, Roberta G. (30 MAR 1949 - 4 MAR 2017)

Roberta G. Paul, 67 of the Township of Prentice, Price County, passed away on Saturday, March 4 at Aspirus Care & Rehab, Medford after a long struggle with Alzheimer disease.

She was born on March 30, 1949 at Stafford Spring, CT, daughter of the late Clarence Y. and Jennie (Gage) Paul.

Roberta grew up in Tolland, CT and later moved to Wisconsin in 1973 where she married John Moore & raised 5 children while residing in the Ogema area. She worked for many years in the woods as a logger.

She was a devoted mother and care giver for her parents in their final years. She was a very serious Christian, student of the Bible, was always ready to share the good news of God’s kingdom, loved tapping maple trees, making maple syrup, knew about wild foods and would scout the woods and fields for them. She had a great sense of humor, loved to make people laugh with her jokes, was always happy and ready to lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her children, Ronald (Rose Thiede) Theriault of Prentice, John Moore of Florida and Lisa Moore of Ingram, WI, along with a granddaughter Evelyn Koehler & 3 great-grandchildren. Further survived by her siblings – Douglas (Marion) Paul of Vermont, David (Lucille) Paul of Phillips, Daniel Paul of Florida, Timothy (Dawn) Paul of Virginia, Jonathan (Christina) Paul of Willington, CT, Marilyn (Edward) Toth and Lydia Larson both of Tolland, CT.

She was predeceased by two sons, Robert & Benjamin Moore. Her siblings would like to thank Ronald & Rose for 8 years of loving and wonderful care given to her.

A memorial service/celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 8 at First Lutheran Church, Ogema with Rev. Dr. Bob Giese officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. For online condolences, please visit www.hemerfuneralservice.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to First Lutheran Church, Ogema.
