Paul, Roberta G. (30 MAR 1949 - 4 MAR 2017)
Roberta G. Paul, 67 of the Township of Prentice, Price County, passed away on
Saturday, March 4 at Aspirus Care & Rehab, Medford after a long struggle with
Alzheimer disease.
She was born on March 30, 1949 at Stafford Spring, CT, daughter of the late
Clarence Y. and Jennie (Gage) Paul.
Roberta grew up in Tolland, CT and later moved to Wisconsin in 1973 where she
married John Moore & raised 5 children while residing in the Ogema area. She
worked for many years in the woods as a logger.
She was a devoted mother and care giver for her parents in their final years.
She was a very serious Christian, student of the Bible, was always ready to
share the good news of God’s kingdom, loved tapping maple trees, making maple
syrup, knew about wild foods and would scout the woods and fields for them. She
had a great sense of humor, loved to make people laugh with her jokes, was
always happy and ready to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Rose Thiede) Theriault of Prentice,
John Moore of Florida and Lisa Moore of Ingram, WI, along with a granddaughter
Evelyn Koehler & 3 great-grandchildren. Further survived by her siblings –
Douglas (Marion) Paul of Vermont, David (Lucille) Paul of Phillips, Daniel Paul
of Florida, Timothy (Dawn) Paul of Virginia, Jonathan (Christina) Paul of
Willington, CT, Marilyn (Edward) Toth and Lydia Larson both of Tolland, CT.
She was predeceased by two sons, Robert & Benjamin Moore. Her siblings would
like to thank Ronald & Rose for 8 years of loving and wonderful care given to
her.
A memorial service/celebration of her life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday,
April 8 at First Lutheran Church, Ogema with Rev. Dr. Bob Giese officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. For
