Hodowanic, Robert S. (13 MAR 1929 – 18 NOV 1969)
Robert S. Hodowanic, 40, rt. 1, Gilman, Town of Colburn, died suddenly at
Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, on Tuesday morning, November 18th, 1969.
He was born in Chippewa County on March 13, 1929, the son of Frank and Mary
Hodowanic. He grew up in the Huron area and attended Stanley High School. He
then moved to Chicago, where he worked about two years, then returned to the
Town of Huron, where he had lived since.
Mr. Hodowanic is survived by two brothers, Paul of Gilman and Henry of Chippewa
Falls; six sisters, Mrs. Ernest Doege, Thorp, Mrs. Elmer Telechow, Holiday,
Fla., Mrs. Kathryn Leja, Stanley, Mrs. Clifford Hunt Sr., Bloomer, Mrs. Ed
Hogan, Freeport, Ill., and Mrs. Kenneth McLeod of Ladysmith.
Funeral services were held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Orthodox Church in
Huron, with Father Emile Glocar officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
