Winger, Carole Ann (13 DEC 1969)
St. John's Lutheran Church of DePere, Wisconsin was the scene for the marriage
of Miss Carole Ann Winger and David Raymond Lawrence on Saturday, December 13,
1969, at a five p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred J. Winger, Green Bay, formerly of
Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Larry S. Lawrence, Metairie,
Louisiana.
Billie Jean Winger was her sister's maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs.
Barbara Lawrence Kelly, sister of the groom, Miss Sally Nelson, and Miss Susan
Sickmann, both friends of the bride.
The groom was attended by Dr. Wm. F. Walsh, friend of the groom, as best man,
and groomsmen were, Larry D. Francois, friend of the groom, Kenneth Kirk, uncle
of the groom, and Dr. E. Taltara, friend of the groom. Ushers were Vern Freemore,
friend of the couple, and Robert Madgott, cousin of the groom.
A reception for 150 guests was held at the Forum-Coliseum Room, Green Bay.
The bride is a graduate of Thorp High School, Luther College, Decorah, Iowa,
receiving her BA in 1966, and is a teacher. The groom attended the University of
Mississippi, Oxford, Miss. And receive a B.S. in 1962, the University of
Mississippi Medical School, Jackson, Mississippi, M.D., 1966, Mississippi
Baptist Hospital in 1967. The groom, a physician, presently Chief of Aerospace
Medicine, Bergstrom A.F.B, Austin, Texas. The new couple will be making their
home at 739 Oltorf, Austin, Texas.
