Spangler, Eleanor (26 AUG 1904 – 22 DEC 1971)
Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Spangler, 67, route 2, Loyal (Clark Co.,
Wis.), were held December 24 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Rev. N.E. King officiated, and burial was made in the parish cemetery. Mrs.
Spangler died December 22, 1971 at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Hospital,
Neillsville.
Eleanor Schwellenbach was born August 26, 1904 at Neillsville. She received her
education in rural public schools in Globe. She resided with her parents until
her marriage to Anton Spangler, at Neillsville on June 4, 1925. After he r
marriage she farmed with her husband in York Township and resided there since.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Pongratz, Loyal, and Miss
Marlene Spangler, Loyal; one grandson; one brother, Rolland Schwellenbach,
Medford; and one sister, Mrs. Allie (Margaret) Schmidt, Loyal.
Her husband passed away on October 15, 1959, and one brother preceded her in
death.
