Zentner, Marie (Mincoff) (20 NOV 1917 - 21 NOV 2010)
Marie Zentner, 93, of 1014 W. Broadway Avenue, Medford, passed away on Sunday,
November 21, 2010 at Our House Assisted Living, Medford where she had resided
for the past year and under the care of Hope Hospice.
Per Marie’s request no services will be held at this time. Cremainal Interment
will take place at Mount Olive Cemetery, Westboro at a later date.
Marie was born on November 20, 1917 at Galena, IL, to Peter and Eliza (VanRemorter)
Mincoff. She is a graduate of Ladysmith High School. Marie was married to George
W. Zentner, and he preceded her in death.
After their marriage they moved to the Westboro area. Upon their retirement in
1961 they moved to Woodruff. They then moved to Colby and after her husband
George’s death she moved to Medford. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting,
and crocheting. Marie enjoyed helping people. She was a member of The
Homemaker’s Club and Order of the Eastern Star Medford Chapter #254.
She is survived by a son, Darrel Moyer of Central America; one daughter, Elly
Zentner-Hackel of Medford; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; Brother:
George Mincoff of Sarona, WI; Sister-In-Laws, Mildred Sweningson and Emily
Zentner both of Medford.
Marie is predeceased by her husband, George W. Zentner; her parents Peter and
Eliza (VanRemorter) Mincoff; one Son, James Moyer; and siblings, Vata Johnson,
Malon and Naiden Mincoff.
Hemer Funeral Home of Medford is assisting the family with arrangements.
