Roehl, Carl A. (28 AUG 1920 – 20 MAR 2017)
Carl A. Roehl, age 96, of Chili, passed away late Monday, March 20, 2017 at
Symphony of Glendale. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 PM Thursday, March 23,
2017 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home ( 1010 E Veterans Parkway) in
Marshfield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the
time of services on Thursday. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery in
Marshfield.
Carl was born August 28, 1920, the son of Herman and Clara (Ackerman) Roehl in
Granton, Wisconsin. He attended Cozy Corner Grade School in Chili. On April 27,
1946 Carl was united in marriage to the love of his life Delma Stuhr in
Marshfield, Wisconsin. Carl farmed in the Granton/Chili for many years and
retired from Weyerhaeuser in Marshfield.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Chili. In his spare time he enjoyed
wood working, baking, and gardening. He especially enjoyed time spent with his
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carl is lovingly survived by his daughter: Carol (William) Braatz;
grandchildren: William (Michelle) Braatz, Brian (Renee') Braatz, and Michael
(Candy) Braatz; great grandchildren: Evan, Lauran, Michael, and Sydnee Braatz;
as well as his siblings: Leo Roehl and Lila Nelson. He is further survived by a
sister-in-law: Leona Wachholz . He will truly be missed.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Clara; wife: Delma; as well
as siblings: Glenn, Russell, Alvin, Walter, Harvey, Vera, and Evelyn
