Sischo, Ruth T. (25 SEP 1906 – 24 JAN 1972)
Services were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10:30
a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, for Ruth Tilda Sischo,
65, who died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at her home Monday
morning, January 24, 1972.
The Rev. Leander A. Koopman, pastor, officiated, and burial was made in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
Ruth Sischo was born September 25, 1906 in Christie (Clark Co., Wis.), and
received her education in Greenwood Schools, and at the former Stevens Point
Teachers College. She taught for forty years in Clark, Jackson and Marathon
Counties, with the last ten years being in Wausau.
She retired in June 1971, and returned to Greenwood, where she had since
resided.
Survivors include an adopted son, Harvey Sischo, Sheboygan; two brothers,
Merrill Sischo, Wausau, and Leo Sischo, Neillsville; and four sisters, Mrs.
Charles (Olive) Hare and Mrs. Althea Thomas, both of Greenwood; Mrs. Orah
Richardson, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Marvin Engel, Spencer.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and her parents.
