Georgia Brandt spent her one week Easter vacation at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. John Brandt. She left on Monday and will continue her studies at
Eau Claire.
On Saturday afternoon Mrs. John Brandt received a phone call from her husband
informing her of his accident. He was working underneath his truck when the
blocking slipped away. His injuries are a crushed vertebra in his back. He is
hospitalized at St. Patrick Hospital, Missoula, Montana for at least one week,
after which he will be flown home.
Emilie Ellenbecker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ellenbecker, route 1,
Unity, has graduated from the State College of Beauty Culture, Wausau, following
a nine month course. Emilie is a 1971 graduate of Colby High School. She is
going to be employed in Wausau.
Spending the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Loughead were Mrs. Ruth
Loughead, Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Evers, Mercer.
Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ewert, Colby, were recent visitors at the home of Ed Raatz.
Miss Esther Anderson returned to her home after spending the winter months with
friends in Tampa, Florida.
Mrs. Leonard Ehrenstrom and daughter Linda, Lak Bronson, Minnesota, were Tuesday
visitors at the home of her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Allar.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Williams and family were Wednesday evening visitors at the
home of Mrs. Edgar Williams.
Mrs. Fay Olson has returned to St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, as a surgical
patient.
