Varney, Forrest F. (1892? – 8 APR 1972)

Funeral services were held Monday, April 10, 1972 in the Chapel of the First United Methodist Church, Sacramento, California for Forrest F. Varney, 79, civil engineer, who lived in Sacramento for many years.

Varney died April 8, 1972 in the Sutter General Home shortly after suffering a heart attack in his home, 900 45th Street.

Born in North Dakota, he was graduated from the University of Wisconsin as an engineer in 1922. He came to Sacramento in 1938, after working as the manager of an irrigation district in Firebaugh for nine years.

Mr. Varney graduated from Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) High School in 1909 and was a brother of the late Mrs. George (Cynthia) Einfeldt. He is an uncle of Mrs. Harold Dillenbeck, Greenwood.
