Hare, Charles T. (18 JUL 1888 – 2 APR 1972)
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 5, 1973, at 2 p.m. at the Hill
Funeral Home in Greenwood for Charlie Tupper Hare, 85. Rev. Eugene Antrim
officiated, and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Hare died of a heart attack Monday at his home in Black River apartments in
Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). He was born July 18, 1888, in Toronto, Canada, to
Thomas and Georginia Hare. They moved to Cooperstown, North Dakota when he was
two years old.
On November 6, 1912, Mr. Hare was married to Olive Sischo in Cooperstown. They
came to Greenwood in 1915.
Survivors are his wife, two sons, Merrill and George, both of Greenwood; a
daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Alma) Elmhorst of Manteno, Illinois; two brothers, George
hare of Cooperstown, North Dakota, and Mamwood of Oregon; 12 grandchildren and
14 great grandchildren.
A son, a daughter, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
