William H. Cole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald O. Cole of route 2, Loyal (Clark
Co., Wis.), has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force upon
graduation from Officer Training School (OTS) at Lackland AFB, Texas.
Lieutenant Cole, selected for OTS through competitive examination, is being
assigned to Randolph AFB, Texas, for training as a helicopter pilot.
A 1964 graduate of Loyal High School, the lieutenant received his B.S. degree in
mechanical engineering in 1969 from the University of Wisconsin.
Lieutenant Cole's wife, Julia, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas N. DeWald
of 1080 Paddock Drive, Florissant, Missouri.
