Etta, Oscar H. (8 MAR 1893 – 5 MAY 1972)
Oscar (Kelly) H. Etta, 79, 511 Wagner Avenue, Eau Claire, died Friday, May 5,
1972, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
He was born March 8, 1893 in Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and had lived in Eau
Claire the past 30 years, where he was employed by Uniroyal. He was a veteran of
World War I, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite, Eau Claire; three sisters, Mrs. Carl
Kelner, Eau Claire, and Mrs. Maude Volk and Mrs. Fred Tolleth, both of Wisconsin
Dells; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, at the Smith Funeral
Chapel, with the Very Rev. Gordon Brandt officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill
Cemetery. Military rites were conducted at graveside.
