The Reverend Matthew G. Malnar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Malnar, Greenwood
(Clark Co., Wis.), has been commissioned a Captain in the United State Air Force
Chaplaincy and will report to Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama for a fie week
chaplaincy course prior to being base assigned.
Endorsed by ecclesiastical and military authorities, Fr. Malnar previously
worked with military personnel at the Amarillo Air Force Base, Amarillo, Texas,
following his ordination several years ago.
Besides military experience, Fr. Malnar has served as administrator, assistant,
high school teacher, hospital chaplain, Newman Club Chaplain, and has been
principal of St. James Church. He will visit with his parents in Greenwood prior
to leaving for Alabama June 18, 1972.
