Geiger, Lavon (13 MAY 1972)
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, LoyaL, was the setting for the marriage of Lavon
Geiger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Geiger, route, 2, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.),
to Michael Lindner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Lindner, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Vincent Lindner, route 2, Loyal. The ceremony was performed May 13, 1972, with
the Rev. N.E. King officiating. The father of the bride gave her away during the
double ring ceremony.
The bride wor ea gown of empire styled of white with a gathered skirt, a Peter
Pan collar, long puffy sleeves and long train. A floral headpiece with elbow
length veiling adorned her head. Lavon carried white roses, blue and pink
carnations.
Miss Karen Geiger, Loyal, was the maid of honor, with Miss Kay Lindner, Stevens
Point, and Miss Vicki Rueth, Marshfield, as bridesmaids. They wore empire styled
gowns with gathered skirts, daisy print of rainbow colors of pink, yellow, and
blue respectively. Each carried carnations to match their dresses, with
streamers and fern background.
Allen Miller, Loyal, was the best man, with Robert Loos, Loyal, and Marvin
Geiger, Loyal as groomsmen.
Mickey Weyhmiller and Duane Poehnelt, both of Loyal, were the ushers.
Following the marriage ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the Loyal
Fire Hall, with supper at St. Anthony’s, Loyal.
Mrs. Lindner is a 1971 graduate of Loyal High School. Her husband is a 1967
graduate of Loyal High School and is a farmer. They will reside at route 2,
Loyal.
