Schilling, Elizabeth R. (Weinzatl) (22 FEB 1923 - 11 APR 2017)
Elizabeth R. Schilling, 94, of Medford, passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017 at
Aspirus Medford Hospital.
Elizabeth was born February 22, 1923 in Prentice, WI to John and Mary (Deutsch)
Weinzatl. She is a graduate of Prentice High School. She married Edward
Schilling on May 20, 1948 in Nashua, IA. Edward precedes her in death.
She is survived by 5 Daughters: Mary (Edwin) Laher, Jean (Wesley) Singleton both
of Medford, Kathy (Edward) Graff of Stetsonville, Grace (Pat) Tischendorf of
Dorchester, Elizabeth (Doug) Acker of Marathon, 6 Sons: Jim, Dan both of
Stetsonville, Paul (Cindy), Steve (Lori) both of Medford, Ken (Brenda) of Rib
Lake, Tom (Linda) of Medford, 23 Grandchildren, 33, Great Grandchildren, Sister
in Law Dorothy Rosenlof of Prentice and many nieces and nephews.
She is further preceded by her Parents, Son John Schilling, and 12 Brothers and
Sisters.
Elizabeth and Edward farmed in Westboro, while she raised her children. She then
went on to work at Gem Products in Rib Lake, and retired from there in 1985. She
enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, completing word searchs and reading. She also
loved to make quilts, and made one for every one of her grandchildren. She loved
her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and never let them leave a visit
without a treat.
Elizabeth was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and was active in the
Women’s Circle.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday April 17, 2017 at Holy Rosary
Catholic Church. Father Phil Juza will officiate. A Rosary Service will take
place at Holy Rosary at 9:30 AM, and visitation will follow until the time of
services. Burial will be held in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations in honor of Elizabeth Schilling can be given to her family,
with designation at a later date.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with
arrangements.
