Buchanan, Donald Charles (8 JUN 1936 - 10 APR 2017)
Donald Charles Buchanan of Curtiss, Wisconsin went home to be with his Lord on
Monday, April 10, 2017 at his residence.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the
Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church in Abbotsford. Reverend Bruce Jahnke will
officiate.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on
Saturday at the church.
The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the
arrangements.
He was born on June 8, 1936 to Floyd and Clara (Wendt) Buchanan. Donald (or
Donny, as he was known by family and friends) was a gentle, caring person, who
loved to be with people and attend Bible study. Despite the crippling effects of
polio when he was 13, he led a relatively
independent life and always without complaint.
Donny is survived by his brother and his sister, Ken (wife Lois) Buchanan and
Joyce (husband Eldon) Stanton, both of Olympia, WA, 18 nieces and nephews, and
66 grandnieces and grandnephews.
