Decker, James "Jim" Frank (2 AUG 1947 - 16 APR 2017)
James "Jim" Frank Decker, age 69, of Dorchester, passed away on Easter Sunday,
April 16 , 2017 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield with his family by his
side.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday April 20, 2017 at St.
Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Tim Oudenhoven will officiate.
Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial South Cemetery.
Friends and family are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at
the church.
Jim was born August 2, 1947, the son of Cyril and Adeline (Stoiber) Decker in
Marshfield.
He is a 1966 graduate from Colby High School. On February 4, 1967 Jim was united
with Sandra Schuster at St. Louis Church in Dorchester.
Jim was a retired dairy farmer and was on the FHA Board of Taylor County and the
Taylor County Holstein Breeders. He loved being at the cabin, enjoyed hunting,
fishing, bowling,
feeding the birds and relaxing. Jim especially enjoyed teasing his grandchildren
and paying them for collecting frogs. Most importantly, he cherished his family.
Jim is survived by his wife: Sandra; his mother: Adeline; six children:
Elizabeth (Matthew Otting) Decker of San Antonio, TX, Jennifer (Alex) Felde of
Waukesha, Cynthia (Dustin) Riddle
of Hartford, Suzanne (Scott) Bruneau of Plover, Stephanie (Zach) Larson of
Hastings, MN, and Melissa (Joel) Cieslinski of Spencer; 13 grandchildren:
Madeline and Nathan Otting, Kaitlyn, Zander and Grace Felde, Skye, Jax, and
Hudson Riddle, and Kaylee, Alayna, and Jayden Bruneau, and Isabella and
Gabriella Larson.
He is further survived by nine siblings: Ronald (Carolyn) Decker, Pat (Ronald)
Gebert, Dan (Mary) Decker, Bill (Diane) Decker, Joanne (Cliff) Garczynski,
Doreen (John) Johnson, Mary Ellen (David) Erl, Gary (Kim) Decker and Chuck
(Dawn) Decker; and many many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Cyril Decker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
