Frestedt, Elmer Nels (1936* - 2017*)
Elmer Nels Frestedt, was born in North Branch, Minn. to Elmer N. Frestedt and
Pauline C. (Hasselquist) Frestedt. He died in Apache Junction, Ariz., where he
was currently residing with his wife, Gloria.
Elmer moved to Medford in 1981 with his wife, Patricia, who preceded him in
death in 1997.
Elmer and Patty purchased The Kramer Motel and later changed the name to The
Medford Inn. As a couple they also owned and ran The Lumberjack Mini Golf and
Cook Shack. Elmer was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and served on the
church council, The Medford Curling Club and The Medford Chamber of Commerce.
Elmer is survived by his current wife, Gloria; her six children; fourteen
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition, Elmer is survived by children and grandchildren from his previous
marriages; Robert (Joy) Frestedt and Joel (Lisa) Frestedt, Kelly (Steve)
Christensen, Kenneth (Lynn) Coyer, Keith Coyer and Debbie (Marv) Flettre;
grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Jennifer, Kyle, Megan F., Megan C., Pauline,
Blake, Maddie, Brett, Samantha and Evan; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kayden.
Closed family services for Elmer will be held at Central Lutheran Church in
Minneapolis, Minn.
