Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.

Collier Cerny
Collier Cerny, 43, 301 Ross Ave., Wausau, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 3004, under the
care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau
Hospital after a battle with cancer.
He worked for Champan Insurance, Schofield, Brotoloc Inc. and United Cerebral
Palsy as a caregiver for the developmentally disabled.
Survivors include his father, William (Joanne) Cerny Sr., Wausau; his mother,
Sally (Gene) Ward, Mason City, Iowa; his daughter, Brianna Cerny, Wausau; three
brothers, Stafford (Linda) Cerny, William Cerny Jr. and Paul (Sarah) Kaler
(Ward), all of Wausau; one sister, Laura (Jim) Lalor, Mason City, Iowa; many
nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife, Lori Cerny.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of
Christ, Wausau. Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of services
at the church.
Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a scholarship fund established
for Brianna, St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the UW Cancer Center of Wausau
or Palliative Care at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.

Collier Cerny
Collier Cerny, 43, 301 Ross Ave., Wausau, was called to his eternal home Sunday,
Feb. 8, 2004, while being cared for at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital
under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services after a five-year courageous
battle with cancer.
Collier was born July 24, 1960, to William and Sally Cerny.
He worked for Champan Insurance, Schofield, and also was employed for many years
at Brotoloc Inc. and United Cerebral Palsy as a caregiver for the
developmentally disabled. Throughout his illness, Collier enjoyed volunteering
his time to his church, St. Paul's United Church of Christ. His unconditional
care and concern for people was very apparent and was shown not only in his
personal relationships but also in the work he chose.
Collier is survived by his father and stepmother, William (Joanne) Cerny Sr.,
Wausau; his mother and stepfather, Sally (Gene) Ward, Mason City, Iowa; his
daughter, Brianna Paige Cerny, Wausau; three brothers, Stafford (Linda) Cerny,
William Cerny Jr., and Paul (Sarah) Kaler (Ward), all of Wausau; one sister,
Laura (Jim) Lalor, Mason City, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife
and caring friend, Lori Cerny.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at St. Paul's United
Church of Christ, Wausau. The Rev. Donald Baumann and the Rev. Nancy Russell
will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. until the time of service
at the church.
