Stubbe, Violet M. (Pagel) (5 OCT 1916 - 26 JUN 2005)
Violet M. Stubbe, 88, Wausau, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 under the care of
Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at St. Paul United
Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Donald Baumann will officiate. Burial will be in
Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the
church.
She was born October 5, 1916 in the town of St. Lawrence, daughter of the late
Gerhart and Minnie (Schrader) Pagel. On July 20, 1940, she married Harry Stubbbe
in Wausau. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2002.
Violet was a nursing assistant for the former St. Mary Hospital, Wausau and then
for Mount View Nursing Home for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading books and was
an avid Badger and Green Bay Packer Fan. Most special to her was playing cards
with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Dianne (Charles) Wilichowski, Marathon; two
sons, Noel (Kathy) Stubbe, Hancock and Robert Rast, Steubenville, Ohio; two
granddaughters, Nancy (Russell) Sauter, Upland, Calif. and Pam (Scott) Hanke,
Marathon; two grandsons, Carl (Kim) Wilichowski, Marathon and Andy (Collette)
Wilichowski, Seymour; two great granddaughters, Tracy & Sheree Wilichowski;
three great grandsons, Dale & Dylan Sauter and Zachary Hanke; one sister-in-law,
Adeline Berndt, Wausau.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Chad
Stubbe; two sisters; three brothers; one daughter-in-law, Martha Rast.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul United Church of
Christ, Wausau.
Violet’s family would like to thank all the caregivers and doctors who took
great care of her throughout the years.
