John was born March 9, 1934, son of the late Edwin and Emma (Marquardt) Stubbe.

in marriage to Marlene Oelke.
In July of that year, he was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly

Spending time with family was most important to John. He also liked traveling,
especially weekend trips and day trips "Up North". Before declining health, he
enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He had belonged to the
Central Wisconsin Polka Club, Pommerscher Verein and Trailmates Snowmobile Club.
He enjoyed playing sheepshead in card clubs, going to polka dances and Friday
night fish frys.
He was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, having held offices on the
St. John Church Council. He was a member of the Men's Brotherhood and enjoyed
participating in church activities.
