The 22nd Annual family reunion of th elate Ferdinand and Marth Schwantes family,
Town of Brighton, Spencer, was held at the Unity County Park on Sunday, June 4,
1972. A potluck dinner and supper were held, as well as card playing, and a
family tree scrapbook was on display, which is kept up to date by a
granddaughter, Mrs. Elmer (Cylinda) Bruss. Pictures were also taken.
New member added to the family tree was one through marriage, Karen Ann Besanson
to Robert Schultz, both of Wisconsin Rapids.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Klein of Marshfield were host and hostess for the event. Next
year's host and hostess will be Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Carlson of Unity.
Those in attendance included Mrs. Adelia Schultz and Norbert, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Krause, Susan, Wilbur and Randy; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schwantes; Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Bruss, Gregory and Bradford; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schwantes; Mr. and
Mrs. Russel Klein, Craig, Eric, Tena and Amber Lee, all of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs.
Hugo Mielke and family, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Carlson and David of Unity;
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Klein of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Florence and Kenneth
of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. George Florence, Barbara and Mark of Pittsville; Mr. and
Mrs. Douglas Carlson of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Arden Douglas of
Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Winkler and Tad of Tomahawk; Mr. and Mrs. Archie
Schwantes and Rhonda and Mary Joe of Wausau; and Mrs. Ardell Klein, Scott,
Michael and Kent of Marshfield.
