Sunday, May 28, 1972 at 2:00 p.m. was installation of Mr. Charles Kramer as
Pastor of St. Paul's Church, Scotland, South Dakota and St. John's Church,
Kaylor. Pastor Kramer has been serving these congregations since last June and
has accepted the call extended to him by these congregations.
Mr. Kramer was born in Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, April 4, 1945. His
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Kramer of Loyal (Clark Co.), Wisconsin. He
attended LaTart Rural School near Loyal, and graduated from Loyal High School,
then attended Concordia Junior College in St. Paul, Minn. He was graduated from
Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana with a B.A. in Sociology. He
received his Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
He is married to the former Janet Seibel, and they have two children. They are
presently living in the parsonage at Scotland.
For recreational activities, Mr. Kramer likes to fish, hunt, and do woodworking.
He was very active in high school activities, as well as those at college.
The Service of Ordination and Installation was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 28.
The Rev. Arthur Crosmer, President of the South Dakota District was the
officiant. The Rev. George Baumgarter, who serves as Chaplain at Yankton State
Hospital, and also served the congregation during the vacancy, was the
liturgist, and Rev. Robert Hackler, Circuit Counselor, was the preacher.
