Ekdahl, Agnes A. (Seidel) (2 JUN 1910 - 9 SEP 2010)
Agnes A. Ekdahl, 100, of 6001 Earle Brown Drive, Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, a
former Stetsonville and Medford Area resident, passed away on Thursday,
September 9, 2010 at the North Memorial Medical Center Robbinsdale, Minnesota.
The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 17th, 2010 at Holy
Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with Father Gerald Willger and Deacon Joseph
Stefancin officiating. Interment will be at Medford Evergreen II Cemetery, town
of Medford.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M.
Friday, September 17, 2010 at Holy Rosary Church, Medford.
Agnes was born on June 2nd, 1910, at Marshfield, Wisconsin, to Joseph G. and
Mary (Rauscher)
Seidel. She was a graduate of South High School of Minneapolis, Minnesota in
1928. On August 30th, 1933, she married Norman W. “Swede” Ekdahl. He preceded
her in death on August 16th, 1991.
She was employed as a Stenographer at the Taylor County court house in human
services department for about 20 years, and then for the veteran services
department for around 5 years. Agnes was also one of the first librarians in
Stetsonville, Wisconsin. As a young lady, she enjoyed embroidery and was an avid
reader. She was a past member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Stetsonville and St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Brooklyn
Park, Minnesota.
Agnes is survived by her children, Audrey Feddick of Phoenix, Arizona; Andrea
(James) Lombard of Baraboo, WI; Bruce (Lisa) Ekdahl of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota;
5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings Millie (Evert) Anderson of
Wyoming, Minnesota; and Helen (Al) Hedlund of Crystal, Minnesota.
She is predeceased by her husband, Norman W. “Swede” Ekdahl; parents, Joseph G.
and Mary (Rauscher) Seidel; and sisters Lucille Langseth and Florence Hanson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial’s can be made to Agnes’s name to be designated at a
later date.
