Maki, Eleanor Marie (Dilley) Plude (3 JUN 1933 - 20 APR 2017)
Eleanor Marie Maki, 83, Prentice, died at her home on Thursday, April 20, 2017,
while under the care of her family and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice.
She was born in Crawford County, Wisconsin, on June 3, 1933, the daughter of
Edward and Dottie (Lightfoot) Dilley. She was married to Lawrence Plude and they
later divorced. She was married to Sidney Roger Dean Maki on September 27, 1977
in Chicago, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2008.
She and Lawrence operated the Pick-A-Dilley resort on Stone Lake for a number of
years. She was a great fan of Elvis Pressley. As a younger woman she enjoyed
dancing and bowling. In recent years she enjoyed cooking for her family,
spending time in her home, doing puzzles and word search, and was a fan of
NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves.
She is survived by four daughters, Debby (Dennis) Lind, Rib Lake, WI, Diana
DeBoth, Prentice, Dawn (Hal) Swenson, Rib Lake, WI, and Darcy (Mark Listle)
Johnson, Tripoli, WI; by three step-daughters, Debbie (Delbert) Gustafson,
Ogema, Tammie (Steve) Reynolds, Prentice, and Lori (Donald) Maki-Erickson,
Schofield, WI; by one brother-in-law, Kenneth (Patricia) Maki, Pineville, OR; by
one sister-in-law, Linda Cook, Phillips, WI; by 22 grandchildren and 33 great
grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Roger Dean Maki; by three infant
children, Sonya, twin boys Dennis, and Danny; by one great grandson, Maddox
Scheithauer; by her parents, Dottie and Ed Dilley; by one daughter, Denise
Harubin; and by two son-in-laws, Luke Harubin and Greg DeBoth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 25, at the Heindl
Funeral Home in Prentice with Pastor Richard Hall officiating. Interment will be
in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, in the Town of Hill.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of
services.
