Paulsen, John Thomas (1945? - 18 APR 2017)
John Thomas Paulsen, 72, Glen Flora, died on Tuesday April 18, 2017, at the
Flambeau Hospital, Park Falls.
John spent most of his life in Rusk County. He attended school in Ladysmith. He
then entered the military service and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam
Era where he was stationed in California.
He was married to Jeanette Pflughoeft on April 16, 1966, in Jump River, WI. She
preceded him in death in 1994.
He was employed as a corrections officer at the Flambeau Correctional Facility
for many years prior to his retirement.
In his free time he was a Supervisor for the Town of Lawrence, enjoyed hunting,
fishing, and doing various projects.
He is survived by his 3 children: Jennell (Louis) Collins, Phillips, Jodi Long,
Clearwater, FL, and Jonathon (Rebecca) Paulsen, Kewaunee, WI, 9 Grandchildren, 1
Great Grandchild, 1 Brother: Dan (Linda) Paulsen, Ocotillo, Ca., and many nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1
daughter Jacqueline.
No service is being planned at this time. A memorial service will be held at a
later date.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
