SPENCER--OUR NEWSPAPER OFFICE (20 Jan. 1881)
OUR OFFICE is next door to a shop where lumber sleighs are made and repaired, and several persons who are not acquainted with the business locations have bolted into this office looking for the sled doctor. It is amusing to witness the expression of surprise as they looked about and found themselves in a printing office. A few evenings since a company of Indians were coming into town, and seeing a light in the office, one of them bolted from the crowd and started to come in, but after surveying the premises through the window, he turned away, apparently in disgust. A visitor suggested that the Indian thought a new saloon was opening and he might get a cargo of fire-water.
