Buss, Ruby M. (20 NOV 1934 – 13 APR 2017)

Ruby M. Buss, age 82, of Thorp (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, passed away at Oakbrook Health & Rehab on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Thorp. Rev. Daniel Vang will officiate and burial will follow in Sylvan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Herb Roix, Andy Buss, Larry Buss, Curt DeLeske, Mark Kleifgen, and Marcus Kleifgen. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Ruby Marie Buss was born on November 20, 1934 in the Township of Reseburg, rural Thorp, Wisconsin, to Albert and Ida (Gorsegner) Buss. She attended Colby Rural School in the Town of Reseburg, and graduated from Thorp High School in 1953. Ruby was employed for over 50 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper at the Thorp Courier. After her retirement, Ruby continued to live in Thorp until entering Oakbrook Health & Rehab in December 2014.

She had many interests, but especially enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening and baking cookies. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Ruby is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harold, Elmer and Bernard Buss; and two sisters, Vera Roix and Mildred DeLeske.
