Donahue, Frank E. “Ed” Jr. (8 October 1934 – 19 April 2017)
Frank E. “Ed” Donahue Jr., 82, of Neillsville died Wednesday April 19, 2017, at
Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield.
He was born Oct. 8, 1934, in Long Branch, NJ, the son of the late Frank Donahue
and the late Grace (Hounihan) Donahue. He was united in marriage to Rita J.
Borger Sept. 6, 1953.
Ed graduated from Middletown Township High School. He was a firefighter with the
Miami Dade Fire Department and the Waukesha Fire Department, and was employed
with Nelson Muffler. Upon retirement, he purchased and ran the Rooster Bar.
He is survived by his four children, Rita J. (John) Patey, William F. Donahue,
John M. Donahue (Sherri Grap), and Frank E. Donahue (Meredith Dorwaldt); 14
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce (Danny) Trezza, New
Jersey, Grace Ann (John) Daiker, Atlanta, GA, and Sue (John) Inzeo, Waukesha.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rita.
Per Ed’s request, there will be no funeral services. There will be a celebration
of life at a later date.
