Virgil was born on December 29, 1922, in¬¬¬ Curtiss, the son of Otto and Laura
(Neitzel) Bublitz. On March 4, 1946, Virgil was united in marriage to Edna Laube
at the home of her parents in the township of Green Grove.
Virgil is survived by his four children: Perry of Tigerton, Glen (Becky) of
Withee, Kurt (Barb) of Stevens Point, and Tim (Nancy) of Owen; 12 grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister; Marg (Fred)
Panzenhagen of Florida and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Edna; grandson-in-law, Ben Armitage, and
his sister: Lorraine (Harold) House.
100 years from now, his descendants will still be talking about the Grandpa who
milked cows until age 80. Who retired at age 90. Who at age 93, was still mowing
4.5 acres of lawn each week. The Grandpa, who on the day he died, he spent the
morning listening to Polka music, cleaning his own house, cooking his own meals
and washing his trademark overalls and flannel shirts. May his life be a humble
example for generations yet to come.
