Niewolny, Ilma C. (Krienke) (1 JUN 1914 - 30 DEC 2009)
Ilma C. Niewolny, 95, Schofield, formerly of Athens died Wednesday, December 30,
2009 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice services at Kennedy Park
Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
She was born June 1, 1914 in the town of Berlin, daughter of the late Louis and
Emma (Reimer) Krienke. She was twenty-two when she was united in marriage to
Frank Niewolny on April 20, 1937 in Wausau. He preceded her in death on December
17, 1985.
Ilma was an active member of the Athens Community, Trinity Lutheran Church and
Trinity Lutheran School and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
IIma's father, Louis, passed away before she could tell him she was expecting
her first child. "He would have been thrilled to be a Grandfather!" She is
survived by two sons, Thomas (Patricia) Niewolny and David (Susan) Niewolny,
grandmother of five, Michelle Daley, Brett, Christopher (Brittney), Todd
(Shelli) and Tony (Wendy) Niewolny and great grandmother of eight, Cassidy,
Parker and Nicholas Daley, Alivia Niewolny, Colton, Trevor and Lexi Niewolny and
Allyssa Niewolny. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law,
nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Besides her parents, step-father, Herbert Hackbarth and husband Frank she was
preceded in death by her two brothers, Rueben and Ervin Krienke.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Trinity
Lutheran Church, Athens. The Rev. Andrew Alberts will officiate. Burial will be
in the Athens Lutheran Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30
a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
