Steiner, Claude (8 MAY 1908 – 23 JUN 1972)
Private Funeral services were held Monday, June 26, 1972, for Claude Steiner,
64, route 2, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at 8:30 a.m., June 23, 1972, at
his home.
The Rev. Gene Carlson officiated, and burial was made in the church cemetery (
He is actually buried at the Loyal City Cemetery). The Roycraft Funeral Home,
Loyal, had charge of the arrangements.
Claude Steiner was born in Lomira, Wisconsin, on May 8, 1908, and received his
education at Lomira schools and Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chicago.
He was united in marriage to Sybil Walls at Winona, Minnesota on September 27,
1930. He worked as a funeral director for the Nicholas and Ohlrogge Funeral
Homes in Loyal. In 1931 he purchased a turkey farm south of Loyal. He also
worked for Roddis Lumber Co. while farming. He was a member of the Loyal Masonic
Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dave, Park Falls, and Tom, Menomonee
Falls; two grandchildren; one brother, J.R. Steiner, Loyal; and three sisters,
Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Scharf, Lomira; Mrs. Sylvia Tokan, Merrillan; Mrs. Bernice
Kunel, Lomira.
