Kettleborough, Frank, (7 SEP 1922 – 26 JUN 1972)
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Jasperson Funeral Home in
Spencer for Frank J. Kettleborough, 49, Spencer, who died early Monday morning
at the Veteran's Hospital in Madison.
The Rev. Bernie Scott, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Spencer,
officiated, and burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery. Graveside military
rites were conducted. Mrs. Norman Kasper sang, "How Great Thou Art" and "God
will Take Care of You," accompanied by Mrs. Darrell Roder.
Pallbearers were James Suckow, Jack Burke, Duane Dommer, James Pederson, Norman
Scaggs, and Alfred Guidan.
Mr. Kettleborough was born September 7, 1922, in Sublette, Illinois, and
received his education there. He was married in Dubuque, Iowa, September 2, 1954
to the former Corrine Schafer, who survives him. Since their marriage the couple
had resided in Georgia, Florida, Madison, Marshfield, and Spencer for the last
seven years.
Mr. Kettleborough served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was
employed as a driver for Southern Home in Georgia, Marshfield Homes and
Pathfinder Mobile Home, and a was a member of the American Legion Post of
Spencer and the D.A.V. of Marshfield.
Survivors include one daughter, Melody; one son, Keith, both at home; three
sisters, Mrs. Virginia Slington, Peru, Illinois; Mrs. Margaret Bartels, Jr.; and
Mrs. Betty Krueger, both of LaSalle, Illinois; and one brother, John, of
Mendota, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents..
