Resech, Mary Ellen (Bauer) (30 MAR 1921 - 3 MAY 2017)

Mary Ellen Resech, age 96, of Abbotsford, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at St. Joseph hospital in Marshfield.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Tim Oudenhoven will officiate. Interment will be held at Abbotsford Public Cemetery.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church.

Mary was born on March 30, 1921, in Medford, the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Koestner) Bauer. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Glen Resech on May 5, 1948 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.

Mary enjoyed reading, playing cards, gardening, cleaning, cooking, and baking. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church Parish, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Knights of Columbus.

Mary is survived by her three children: John (Gale) of Colby, Tom (Vicki) of Hatley, and Nick (Debbie) of Mosinee; four grandchildren: Gwen of Buffalo City, Jon of Hudson, Jereme (Erika) of Dorchester, and Justin of Longmont, CO.; and five great-grandchildren: Avery, Gabriel, Ethan, Jasmine, and Evan.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Glen and her 11 siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to St. Bernard's Church.
